Kailjoric has recently been playing Player Unknown Battlegrounds as well as, the recently released to PC, Destiny 2. Destiny 2 is a First-Person Style Shooter based around progressive Light Levels accessed through the guns, armor and mods worn by the player acquired by completing events, missions and quests through the five planets currently available in the game. Weekly resets open up new events and quests to further the player’s progression. Most of the game is primarily PvE style, with the Crucible being it’s 4v4 PvP arena where players either fight to hold points, get the most kills, defend/attack points in order to win rounds. Player progression and gear can be gained in the PvP arenas and the feel, speed and mechanics are in-line with Quake or Unreal Tournament matches. Gear gained in PvE or PvP can be used in all areas and there isn’t specific gear for either though over time certain items become more popular. Each player eventually unlocks a total of three sub classes based off the primary main style of character they player; Warlock, Hunter or Titan. The sub classes allow for slight variety and style of play based off chosen skills players can swap in and out at a moment’s notice.

    1. When , what game and why did you join the Acolyte Community?

    Kailjoric
I found the Acolyte community through a friend who I had been playing Aion and other games with; we had been a part of larger communities, ran a few ourselves and had been looking for a new home. I joined the Acolytes prior to the release of Rift, which was the first major release game I played with the Acolytes. At the time I was looking for a group who was more than just a one-shot game guild and who had not only competitiveness to them, but the maturity and understanding that a true gaming community has to have vision, rules, flexibility and understands the need for new blood mixing with the old guard.

    2. Tell me more about yourself.

    Kailjoric

I’m a 38 year old Technology Consultant with a wife and four amazing kids who constantly challenge me as a person and a dad each day one way or another. I was born in Tulsa Oklahoma, so I’m a Sooner at heart, but I currently live in Dallas Texas. I do as much as I can to make life better for my kids, but I also do my best to live out my dreams which can be sometimes challenging with the schedules and of course the budget. Kids are expensive! I have my MBA in Project Management and also hold a Doctorate in Natural Medicine and have been on an academic hold to finish my Doctorate of Business, just have my final thesis project to complete and needed some time off for family things going on as both my parents hit retirement and my mother was recently diagnosed with ALS.

    3. What game(s) do you currently enjoy playing with other Acolytes?

    Kailjoric

Currently I play Destiny 2, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, Fantasy Ground DnD, Divinity Original Sins 2 and some random games. I also play Grim Dawn and Albion Online.

    4. Tell me a funny story.

    Kailjoric
I’ll tell on myself cause I want everyone to know that I do make mistakes and am willing to point them out, even though I can be a bit of a perfectionist/elitist at times, I am human and willing to own up to my screw ups. I’m a bit of a “know it all” at times, so it was very embarrassing for me at the age around 12 I found out that white people were Caucasian. For the longest time every time I heard that word or saw it all I saw was the Asian part and so in my mind Caucasians were Asian people with a very light skin tone, essentially I thought Caucasians were “White Asians”. My entire friends and family had a good laugh at my expense at a Sunday lunch as I admitted to this revelation.

    5. If you could have a 1 hour conversation with anyone past or present, dead or alive who would it be and what would you converse about?

    Kailjoric
It would be a toss-up between Julius Caesar or Thomas Jefferson, I believe both of these men played a massive role in influencing the world not only around them during their times, but the world as we currently know it and I would honestly pick their brains about any number of things ranging from tactics, economy, government and most of all, how to maintain growth and vision in an ever-changing world.

    6. Are there any future games that you look forward to playing with the Acolytes?

    Kailjoric

I am hopeful that Crowfall, Camelot Unchained or some other indie game comes along that really reignites the MMO genre and successfully merges that depth of quest/story line driven material for PvE with the strength and excitement of PvP once found in games like UO, Lineage, Shadowbane or even Aion.

I had a great time interviewing Kailjoric and hope that he enjoyed the experience as well. If you would like to get to know more about Kailjoric than what you found here you can find him in the Destiny 2 or PUBG. I look forward to more Acolyte Member Spotlights as we look to spotlight members from all over our Acolyte community! You will find our Acolyte Member Spotlights here on our forums under the drop down of About Us as well as on our Public Facebook page
